Late Payment Fee Notice

French Broad Electric Membership Corporation has implemented a new late payment fee. We have found that at least 35% of our customer accounts were past due over the last tweleve months. In the best interest of all our members we simply cannot continue to finance our customer's past due bills without consequences.

Beginning September 1st, 2010, there will be a late fee assessed to any customer who has a past due amount. This fee will be 1.5% of the total past due amount with a $2.50 minimum amount and will be compounded monthly.

We are releasing this notification as a courtesy since this new policy has the potential to impact your finances if your account has a past due amount each month after September 1st, 2010.
